Ravi Chandra, M.D., D.F.A.P.A.

Friend (and therapist) to friendless experts, expats, exes, and the X-d out; the upset, distressed and suffering, the regularly confused, and occasionally those who are quite certain of themselves; those who feel limitations of circumstance, yet look for inner peace and stability and even limitless personal growth; regular people facing OHS (Ordinary Human “stuff”); extraordinary people with extraordinary and ordinary problems. Anyone looking to find a way to a more related way of life, and an inner life of warmth and spaciousness to work with individual and collective suffering.

This is who I am. Hold me to it.
Also this: When Someone I Love is Hurting.

Weaknesses for public consumption: curiously addicted to people, and perhaps overmuch invested in their well being.
Also, there are fees.

“We make each other special with our time and attention.”
“We are who happens to us
and what we make of the happening.”
People become people through other people.
– Ubuntu proverb

"Therapy is art
in the medium
of relationships."

I’m a writer and avid cinephile, and always interested and involved in the cultural moment through my writing and communities.

I do my best to learn from everyone I meet.

The four greatest catalysts for my own growth: Poetry, Philosophy (including a wide array of arts, sciences and primarily Eastern thought and spiritual practices), Psychology, and People.

These Three Things (Mindfulness, Compassion and Relationship) still hold, but I would add the Fourth and Fifth Things: Creativity and Insight. My goal is to bring These Five Things to the care of my patients and my own continued growth and well-being as well.
